I draw the city the way a kid would tell you about it: too many things, and all of them important.
Sáp Màu draws with wax crayons, oil pastels and a little gouache, like the picture books of the 60s. Every corner gets something small that people walk past: a cat on a step, a kettle on a cart, birds on the wires. The faces always get pink cheeks. In Saigon, everyone is a little warm.
